Description

This mutation and how it is showcased is breed specific and may not be realistic in any way.
Mutations are designed and sorted out by Ravica and should not be copied.

Name: Extended Dun
Rarity: Common
Genotype: Ed

Rules:
- always affects the face and legs, while the dun stripes originates from the withers.
- always appears darker on normal coats as well as Dominant White UNLESS the horse has dilution genes (silver, crem or champagne) in which case the Ed is lighter than the base coat.
- does not cover white markings, but can show on Dominant White base coat.
- does not affect the eye color.
- always extends to the mane, but never shows on the tail.
- always affects the points, but the degree of coloration/striping may differ from horse to horse.
- always shows in natural colors in a darker or lighter variaty of the base coat.

NO specific patterning such as swirls, hearts, teddybears or whatnot.
NO stripes extending behind the saddle area or above the mid thigs.
NO unnatural colors or disconnected stripes to create tribal patterns.

Inheritance:
These are the guidelines for how this gene may pass on to offsprings based on parent genotypes.
Notice that this is not exact science and chance is part of breeding for color.
EdEd and nEd means the horse showcase the gene. nn means the gene is not present.

EdEd x EdEd = 100% EdEd / 0% nEd / 0% nn
EdEd x nEd = 95% EdEd / 5% nEd / 0% nn
EdEd x nn = 5% EdEd / 95% nEd / 0% nn

nEd x nEd = 5% EdEd / 95% nEd / 0% nn
nEd x nn = 0% EdEd / 5% nEd / 95% nn
